Tonight is our Last Open Mic at The Oak. We appreciate everyone that has performed at our open mics. We are so thankful to our friend and host Austen Patty for all the time he’s dedicated to giving the community a space to come and perform.
Let’s make tonight one of the best open mics The Oak is ever had. Come down watch your friends perform, or come up and sing a song.

Dear Valued Patrons and Friends,

We hope this message finds you well. After much consideration, we—David Mahn, Andrew Anderson, and Chris McLaran —have decided to sell The Oak to a wonderful local group called The Ground, which owns Humble Spirit. This decision was not made lightly, and it comes with a mix of emotions, as The Oak has been a second home to many of us for years.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support, loyalty, and friendship. It has been an absolute pleasure serving you and being a part of this amazing community. Your presence and patronage have made The Oak a special place, and for that, we are truly thankful.

The Ground\Humble Spirit shares our values of great hospitality and community, and we are confident that they will continue to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We are excited to see how they will bring their own unique touch to this beloved space.

Thank you once again for all the memories and for being a part of The Oak family. We hope you will extend the same support and enthusiasm to The Ground\Humble Spirit as they embark on this new chapter.

Our last day will be the 30th, so come down and give some love to JR and crew as we wrap up this chapter in our lives.

THE OAK IS HIRING:

As an entry-level bartender, your primary responsibility is to provide excellent customer service by preparing and serving beverages to customers. Your duties may include:

1. Taking customer orders and serving drinks promptly and accurately.
2. Mixing and garnishing cocktails and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes or customer preferences.
3. Checking identification to verify legal drinking age and refusing service to intoxicated or underage individuals.
4. Maintaining a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning glassware and utensils.
5. Engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions about drink options, and making recommendations.
6. Handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
7. Adhering to all health and safety regulations and ensuring responsible alcohol service.
8. Collaborating with other bar staff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer experience.
9. Continuously learning about new drink recipes, ingredients, and industry trends to enhance your knowledge and skills.
10. Assisting in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.

Requirements:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and measuring ingredients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of different types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Familiarity with drink recipes and mixing techniques is a plus, but not mandatory for an entry-level position.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
