Details are worked out. First ride is June 11th. We will be going to the crooked oar the first week. Everyone will meet at the pocket at 4:30 pm. Enjoy a cocktail or two, and and converse. We open at 4:00 pm if you feel like showing up earlier. Captain Robert will have the boat at the ramp in mcgregor around 5:00. We will be leaving the dock at 5:30 pm, no later. It will be about a hour ride up to the oar, where if you choose, they will have a couple specials available when we get there. Both are smoked from Rivertop BBQ. ​One is the pulled pork, and the other is the smoked ham and cheese sandwich. Both with fries for $9.99. We would appreciate when you sign up if you would specify if you are doing it so they know ahead of time, and can have things ready when we get there. I'm guessing you will be able to also order off the menu, but time may not allow. We will spend about an hour at the bar, where the tiki bar will be open, so weather permitting, many will be able to sit outside. Then an hour back. Where you are also encouraged to stop at the pub. You are permitted to bring your own cooler for the boat rides, but be sensible. Room is limited. We have a 45 person capacity, so sign up early. If we have a good turn out, Robert told me the ride would be $20.00 a person, which is cheap!! Burgers would also be a quick option they told me if your not into smoked food. But pre ordering is still a good idea, and not a special. We now have a sign up sheet at the bar, and pre-paying is required. We don't want people saying they will go, then not show up. Too many are interested, and the price is based on a full ride. This is hopefully going to be a weekly event, with maybe another stop included yet. But it's all based on attendance. Live music will also be an option if things go well. Of course limiting space, but if signed up early, won't be a problem for you!! Let's enjoy the summer!! Hope to see you!!

This month we are donating our martini/duck money to the Northeast Iowa Vietnam Veterans Association. We also have Vietnam Vet pint beer glasses for $10 each this month with the profit going to this organization as well to put towards their memorial going up in Giard. Please help us support our local veterans. 🇺🇸❤️
