The reason we closed was that Sean decided fighting for what's right was too much for his family to go through. This was Sean's dream that was shattered because he is a good man who puts his family first. If you have been told a different reason and are willing, please contact us through messenger, leave a comment and we will get in touch with you, or contact us if you have our contact information. I want it to be clear that we WERE NOT shut down by the health department.

Effective Thursday, August 31st, Big Country’s Sports Pub will be closed permanently.
Due to a disagreement with the Sabala Foundation over the running of the pub, we regretfully have elected to close our doors.

We will be open late (3 a.m. or 4 if we have customers) tonight, Sunday, July 2nd and tomorrow night, Monday, July 3rd. Open on the patio until midnight on July 4th.

We WILL NOT be open late this weekend. We are still in Seattle with Connor. He's been released from the hospital but has at least one follow up here. We hope to be open late again, starting next weekend. Keep an eye on our page.

We had to increase our funds request due to Connor having to be in the hospital longer. His heart didn't bounce back as quickly.

UPDATE: I have updated our amount requested. We hate to do this, but we had a little bump in Connor's recovery which has turned a 10 day hospital stay to possibly a month. He is back in the pediatric ICU. I am going to have to go home to take care of the other kids since they are out of school in a....

Open late this weekend (at least 3 a.m.). Tonight and tomorrow night. Connor will probably be discharged from the hospital next week so we will be back to our regular late night schedule soon (hoping for next weekend or the following weekend). Meantime, come see our new employee. See you soon.

My grandson, Connor, is 9 years old. He was born with Aortic Valve Stenosis. He has been having some trouble with his heart, so although we hoped we could wait until he was a little older, the time has come for him to have valve replacement surgery.
