When I heard the Maytown country tavern was for sale I was intrigued. When I visited the tavern for the first time, I was shocked and inspired at the same time. Shocked that the facility was in such rough shape and was more of a detractor to the community. I was inspired because I could visualize what changes could be made to not only bring the historic country tavern back to l

ife but also how a new lease on this business could help the community at large. Not only a place where people can have a great meal and share good times and laugh but a venue that can accommodate music events, private parties, and club meetings. I have spent 21 years living and participating in many facets of the Olympia area community, and feel like I now have an opportunity to directly affect this local Maytown and Olympia community mostly as well as travelers coming through the area.
