We love NY. And, we love wine. It just so happens one of our favorite wines is from the North Fork of Long Island.

Long Island is a young wine region, but one well situated to make world-class wines. It usually takes a generation or two for a new region to figure itself out.

Anyone paying attention has probably noticed a dramatic increase in quality over the last decade or two. John Leo is one of a handful of winemakers and “grapetenders” directly responsible for making Long Island a world-class wine region. To top it off, 2013 was one of Long Island’s best vintages to date.

This bottling is a Bordeaux-styled Blend, of 72% Merlot, 14% Cab Franc, 6% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot, 2% Cab Sauvignon, and 1% Syrah.

The longevity, complexity, and overall yumminess of this rare wine is a testament to what Long Island can deliver.
