Friday live music in the courtyard is here for you ❤️ It’s been a heavy week with the floods, and we know a lot of folks have been feeling it. Let’s come together, spend time as a community, and let live music and good food bring a little comfort. We love y’all!

Out of an abundance of caution, we’re postponing River Sings Sweet Songs. Your safety is our top priority and while we’re super bummed (this is one of our favorite events!) we’ll reschedule and share the new date soon.

We’re still open though, so come hang! We’ve got food, drinks, and some bomb ass sangria - we’d love to see you.

But most importantly.. be safe out there. Turn around, don’t drown❤️

Make Music Day was one for the books! Big thanks to for bringing this to life and for putting it on our radar and gathering such a talented crew to play the Martindale stage.

It was a beautiful evening filled with good friends, good music, good vibes. Grateful for everyone who came out and made it feel like summer in the best way!

We’ll keep it goin’ all summer! Catch more live music in the courtyard this Saturday from 7–9pm and make sure to mark your calendars for next Saturday the 5th Annual Grateful Dead Tribute starting at 3pm. See y’all there!

Hey matcha lovin’ people, we have matcha! Codi just made a batch of the best house-made lemonade I’ve ever had so you already know.. matcha lemonade is happening. We’ve also got a few other delicious, summery coffee specials to quench your thirst and give you a little caffeine buzz. Of course, we named them after the river, summer, and cute things. These are seriously so good- can’t wait for you to try them!

Have y’all met Marshall Anderson? One of the kindest souls you’ll ever come across, and we’re so glad to have him back at the cafe for our summer music series this Friday 7-9pm. We’ll have dinner specials rollin’, cold drinks flowin’, and plenty of bug spray to go around. We’ll see y’all there!

Come hang with us this Saturday for the summer solstice and Make Music Day! A worldwide celebration where folks come together to play music and enjoy it just for the love of it.

Make Music Day started in France 41 years ago with this sweet idea that music should be everywhere- in the streets, on porches, in cafes and now it happens in over 1,000 cities including Martindale and San Marcos.
We’ll have live music in the courtyard from 6-9 and good ol’ summer vibes. Come grab a drink and some good food, kick back, and celebrate the longest day of the year with us!

Hey y’all! Just wanted to say a huge thank you for showing up this past weekend during our new hours- it seriously means the world. It was so good seeing so many of you hanging out, enjoying yourselves, and eating good food!

Also, we’ve fully restocked the freezer with a TON of ground bison- y’all asked, and we delivered. If you’re looking for other cuts, just DM us. We’ve got more at the farm and we’re happy to hook you up.

Earlier this year, Stella and I went out with Zach to work the bison, and it was one of the coolest experiences. I’ve seen a few bison before, but never a whole herd- and let me tell you, these animals are incredible. They roam free on 300 acres just outside of Seguin and live the absolute best life. The same bison go into our burgers and fill our freezer. So swing by for a bison burger or grab some ground to take home. We’ll see y’all soon!

We’re real excited to welcome Maxwell Apra & Co. from New Orleans to the courtyard this Saturday night! He’ll be joined by .munoz.jones of , who you may remember from past shows at the cafe - always bringing incredible, one of a kind talent.

We’re lucky to have these guys, so come hang, tip your musicians, and enjoy a fine Saturday evening with us under the stars.

Live music is back this Friday, and we’re kicking it off with two seriously talented musicians - Mags Baker and Jenny Saad!

Mags is a Lockhart local, currently touring her new album Magnolia in and out of Texas. They’ll be playing swappin’ songs in the courtyard from 7-9pm, so bring your friends, bring your fam, and let’s kick off summer music in the courtyard right!
