Downtown Friday Nights

Hey everybody! Long time no see! Live music is coming back! But Downtown Friday Nights is not. Be sure to follow the Wenzel Family Plaza page to keep up with the Hub City Concert Series! This series will be directly replacing Downtown Friday Nights in the Plaza.

And if you need even more music Steve and Ted worked with Riverside Roadhouse to put together a couple of Saturday nights this summer!

We hope you are all doing well and are ready for some outdoor live music!

Hey everybody! We hope that the new year finds you well and that things look brighter going forward.

We do have some news. Steve has made the decision to step away from the music world at least in terms of booking and hosting. There were many reasons that went into it but in the end, he is doing what he feels is best for himself and his health. Ted has steadily grown into his new career and now holds even more responsibility.

What this comes down to is, Downtown Friday Nights is no more. We had always hoped to come back when the world settled down but it's just not going to happen. Things have changed. We have changed. The whole world has changed.

We were able to put on nearly 100 shows over 2 and a half years. We brought a lot of music to our stage in little old Marshfield. Different genres, different styles, different volumes, indoors, outdoors... We were able to put on one fantastic summer season at Wenzel Family Plaza and they will continue what we started with their own series when it is possible and responsible to do so. We trust that they will do an excellent job keeping you entertained on summer Friday nights.

We wish to express our deepest gratitude to each and every person who came down to a show, enjoyed some music, had a drink, or just hung out and were part of the community we tried to build. Without all of you none of this would have been possible. Thank you so very much for taking a chance on us and letting us be a part of your lives, however briefly.

We'll still be around if and when performances start back up. We'll just be joining you in the crowd as music fans.

And we will always hope to see you some Friday Night.

Since it doesn't look like we will be able to resume our Friday night shows anytime soon, we are putting forth a new venture for performers. Head on over to the DFN Presents Cover to Cover page to find out what it's all about!

Since Downtown Friday Nights shows are on hold indefinitely, we are trying a new way to bring music to our audiences. Every 2 weeks we will pick a theme for cover songs and ask performers to submit their performance videos.

Hello!

How is your summer going? We hope that all of you are doing well and staying safe in this crazy world. It still feels weird to not be bringing you music every Friday night. We certainly don't miss hauling equipment in the heat but we do miss the music. And we miss all of you! Especially in these summer months when we would see so many more of you for a night of fun.

But we are still around, doing what we can. Don't hesitate to drop us an update on how you are. Any concert is only as good as its audience. And we hope to see you again someday, some Friday night.

Through midnight tonight bandcamp has waived their fees for performers which means 100% of the dollars you spend goes to the performer. Many of the acts we have had with us on Friday nights have their music up on bandcamp. Show some support for them!

We are sure no one is surprised but we have had to cancel all of our remaining dates. And there is not a good way to even hope to reschedule them at this point. We won't make it to our 100 shows. But we made it to 94 and for that, we thank you. We'll have more information coming as it becomes available but at this time there are just no solid answers to be had. And we will have an official farewell statement later. Until then...
