After installing our new owl boxes our intention was to tear down an older one that was falling apart. To our surprise upon inspection the old box had at least four barn owls in it! Most of these are juveniles who cannot yet fly or hunt.

We were able to literally band aid and brace this box to the best of our ability without displacing these beautifulcreatures. Special thanks to my buddy Jeremy Obers for all his expert advice!

Once they leave for the season we'll be sure to build a new box for their eventual return. Hopefully this poor old box holds up for us a bit longer.
