Well folks, it finally happened! I'm very happy and privileged to have been able to brew one of my Big Creek recipes in collaboration with Black Fork Brewing LLC! It just so happens that this beer is also one of my 2026 Tom's Kitchen Table beer series! The beer will be released on September 13th while the full TKT band is playing at Black Fork Brewing LLC! It’s the first Saturday for college football! The first hint of fall. Here in Ohio, Saturday football is about being a winner, there’s expectation, pride, and happiness! Good beer enhances the euphoria! Saturdays here are much better than Sundays (or Monday-Eve). Sundays this time of year bring disappointment, disgust, and loathing. So let’s get this football season rolling, celebrate as grown ass adults screaming at 20 year olds on TV! Raise up some pints and cherish the fact that Saturdays aren’t Sundays! Cheers! Prost! So, some may think brewing is boring....not so fast. When you get to the end and it's time to start the water for the immersion chiller, and then you hear what appears to be a gunshot in the brew house. There isn't normally gunfire in the brewhouse, and as it turns out this wasn't either. Apparently, new hoses twice a year just isn't enough. Plenty of mopping was required, but I'm good at that! No beer was harmed during this incident. Cheers!

As has come to be the norm, all five fermenters are full. In fact we have been brewing 10 batches a month since April and in that same time frame there have only been a total of 38 non-contiguous hours where there has been any fermenter empty. Basically just cleaning time. Why keep track of this? Well, if you know me, you know that there’s a spreadsheet for everything lol. This morning’s brew was a steamy one, it might be time for a beer! 🍻 Cheers!
