By now we are sure that the rumor mill has rumored and everyone has a lot of questions. Please forgive us for our silence, this has been an incredibly chaotic and painful time for us, and we haven't been able to find the words.
Last weekend, we made the near-impossible decision to close our doors and end this chapter of our lives. Due to unreconcileable issues with our landlord, we have decided we need to walk away as a best effort to protect ourselves.
Four years ago, we arrived in the North County with a few simple goals:
1. To create a inclusive space for all and a safe space for women.
2. To bring as much live music to the community as we could.
3. To honor the legacy of those who filled these shoes before us.
4. To throw a party every night!
We wholeheartedly believe that we achieved those goals in our short time with you all.
We are so grateful for this amazing community. We have made so many friends and memories that have changed our lives forever. We could not have done any of this without each and every one of you. Thank you for being part of our journey.
We don't know what the future holds for Taco's, but it is our sincere hope that someone who truly loves this business and recognizes its importance to this community is able to pick up where we left off. Hopefully, this is just the beginning for this new era of Taco's.
Again, thank you all for being a part of our story and we can't wait to see you around!
Love love love,
Lily and Doug
