The Manistee VFW Walsh Post and Auxiliary welcomes participants in the Veterans Run Benefit Ride during their stop over at the Post on Saturday, June 27th, at about 2pm. Proceeds from the ride will benefit Miss Sawyer's "Kids With A Cause".

The Manistee Elks Lodge 250 recently sponsored the celebration of Flag Day, commemorating the adoption of the 'Stars and Stripes' as the official flag of the United States. The VFW Walsh Post 4499 Post and Auxiliary members joined with Elks members and community members in the celebration.

Veterans Run Benefit Ride, Saturday, June 27th. Beautiful ride begins at the Baldwin VFW Post 5315 with stops at Veterans Suported Establishments in Northern Michigan including the Manistee VFW Walsh Post 4499 at about 2PM. This is open to the public. All proceeds benefit Active Duty Military Members and Veterans and Miss Sawyer's "Kids
