Toku is located at Americana Manhasset, Long Island’s most impressive shopping destination, and has been providing exceptional dining since August of 2007. Bentel & Bentel Architects, the award-winning designers of The Modern at MoMA, created Toku’s minimalist and simple design. It incorporates the architecture of a 19th century Japanese home with 21st century modern elements. In the dining room,

a wooden trellis captures the soothing, yet stylized ambiance of a Japanese garden. High-tech panels crown the sleek and reflective ceiling while absorbing the lively sounds from patrons and staff. The spacious bar is topped with gleaming white onyx that emits a warm, inviting glow. Nineteenth century wooden bells from mainland China hang above the sushi bar, while suspended sake drums add a sense of jubilant ceremony behind the bar. Toku’s window facade completely opens for warmer days, allowing a gentle breeze to flow into the bar and lounge area. Seasonal outdoor seating further enhances the natural and calming atmosphere with billowing white curtains and neatly trimmed hedges. Toku’s menu includes an assortment of Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Thai cuisines. It’s straightforward and casually written, which allows you to dine any way that you’d like. Guests may enjoy traditional meals with an appetizer, entrée and dessert, or dine exclusively on sushi. Other parties can order cocktails, saki, wine or beers, and a table full of appetizers and skewers to take advantage of the sharing style of the menu. A prix fixe menu, sushi specials, and a daily bento box special offered at lunch only are a great treat and a wonderful way to get a unique taste of Toku. Reservations are strongly recommended for dining room seating and outdoor seating. The lounge, bar, and sushi bar all offer the full menu and are available first come, first serve. The back dining room can be converted for private dining ideal for large groups. Toku is the perfect place to bring friends, family or clients for a cocktail, sushi or a full meal for any occasion and is open every day for lunch and dinner.
