It's official, after a couple of grueling rounds and some good hard shooting from all 3 of our teams, we ended up having one come home victorious with the title of State Champs and will be representing the Connecticut APA and Buckland Billiards in Las Vegas this August for the 8-Ball World Championships!

Congratulations to Missed but still Finished from our Thursday Double Jeopardy league!

Quick shout-out to our other teams who shot well but didn't quite get the rolls. We are all proud of you.

We want to extend well wishes and good rolls this weekend as 3 of our 8-ball teams will be competing in the 8-ball World Qualifiers at Snaps Billiards in East Windsor.

Just Cut It - Captain: Karen Fonseca - Mondays
Lunatic Fringe - Captain: Jim Wilson - Thursdays
Missed but still Finished - Captain: Griffin Sharkey - Thursdays

These teams are 2 wins from the World Championships in Las Vegas. Let's wish them all luck!

They all play at 6pm tonight. Hopefully we can send 2 of the 3 to Vegas. Unfortunately, 2 of the 3 teams are in the same bracket and would have to face each other to go if they both are successful in the first round.

Good things happening at Buckland Billiards soon.

First, we ordered all new chairs. Say goodbye to the wooden wobbly chairs and hello to the new ones soon similar to the ones at our bar.

Secondly, more Billiards equipment. New sticks, claws chalk, etc... Make sure you grab something that meets your needs.

Also coming very soon, Buckland Billiards pocket markers. Poker chips with the Buckland Billiards logo to show your opponent you mean business.

Finally, we will be getting a really cool cue in to raffle next week. With the USA celebrating 250 years, we wanted to make sure the cue is the perfect prize for this awesome celebration!

Note to all: I will be creating a new post for Saturday July 11th. Unfortunately, something came up this Saturday and we will not be able to run the boards. That post will have a registration list. Thanks for your understanding.

Who would be interested in an 8 & 9 Splash Board on Saturday June 27th? Doors would open at noon, boards start at 1?

We have done them on Sundays in the past, but some ppl have asked to try a Saturday.

Comment to let us know and we will confirm later this week.

We know Racks is closed tomorrow for employee appreciation day, and guess what, we are opening early!

We are hosting the Greater New Haven APA 9-Ball World Qualifiers and they are only using half the room after 2pm tomorrow. Come on down and play on the available tables!

We want to wish all 16 the teams playing tomorrow for the 2 spots for Vegas best of luck!
