Thursday, Jan. 15th the House Commerce Committee will be hearing the bill to remove the $3000 wholesale food requirement from beer stores.
The hearing for HB 114 will be at Legislative Office Building, room 302,
at 11:00 am. That time is approximate, there are only a few bills scheduled
so it's possible that the bill could be heard earlier. Hearings begin promptly
at 9:00, more or less.
The LOB is right behind the statehouse.
Another bill, HB 122, would allow Founder's Breakfast Stout to be sold in New Hampshire. It's up at 10 am. Both of these are bills we introduced last session. This time, the bills were sponsored by Keith Murphy, (R) Manchester
You might ask, "how can I help?" Well, the best thing to do is show up to speak in favor. The next best thing is to sign a blue opinion card at the hearing in support, next best thing would be to make a phone call to the committee members, and finally, you could email the committee members. Talking to them is always best. Some don't read email, sadly. Please be polite!

Right now, we have about five votes. That's not enough. If your representative is on the committee, great! Please call them. If not, your best bet is to call the Chair, Rep. John Hunt. He's generally a good guy on beer, but he needs to hear from you.
Thank you!
