As the extreme heat continues, we will continue to work on the course to do what’s necessary to help protect our greens and golf course. We will remain closed tomorrow, Friday the 4th and will give another update tomorrow evening for the weekend schedule. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

COURSE UPDATE — THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3RD

Due to the extreme heat and the current stress on our greens, tonight’s Doubles League has been cancelled and Big Hickory Golf Club will remain closed for the rest of the day. We will have another update this evening for the weekend schedule. Thank you!

⛳️ COURSE UPDATE

Due to the extreme heat and the current condition of our greens, Big Hickory Golf Club will be closed for the remainder of today and tomorrow morning, but will reopen tomorrow afternoon at 3pm for league night.

With temperatures approaching 100°, our priority is protecting the greens and giving them every opportunity to recover. We’ll be focusing on keeping the greens cool, properly watered, and limiting all foot and equipment traffic during the hottest part of the day.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and just know a lot of these issues are temporary and once we get these greens healthy, that will fix a lot of our current and future issues. Please bear with us!

⛳️ ANNOUNCEMENT — COURSE CLOSURE

Tomorrow, Saturday, August 29th, Big Hickory Golf Club will close to all public and private play at 12:00 PM (noon).

All golfers must have carts returned and course cleared by noon.

We will be hosting a private event for the remainder of the day and evening.

We will reopen on our regular schedule Sunday, August 30th @ 8am.

Thank you for your understanding, and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation!

Week 10 Doubles League Winner — Mark Jackson 🏆

Tonight was about much more than just golf.

Mark’s league partner, Nate White, passed away a few weeks ago. Tonight, Nate’s father, Mike White, came out to ride alongside Mark and support him—and Mark brought home the win for Nate and Nate’s father.

Pictured with Mark is Mike, sharing in a very special win and moment for both of them.

We know Nate was smiling down on them. We love and miss you, Nate. Mark said this one was for you, my friend. ❤️
