* City Grille *
After almost five decades in the restaurant industry, I will be hanging up my apron strings. With mixed emotions, this post is to inform you that City Grille’s lease is ending and we will be closing soon. Our last day will be Wednesday, August 31.
After Gene passed in January 2016, it was never my intention or desire to run City Grille for this long. I have now run City Grille longer than Gene! City Grille was Gene’s dream and I have felt his presence with me through all of the challenges and all of the achievements / successes.
Even with all of the challenges and the ever changing narrative of the pandemic, I am very grateful. I am grateful for the City Grille Family! This family includes guests and members of the City Grille team.
I have been privileged to have an amazing team and I am very fortunate to have worked with so many talented people! My staff truly pulled together during covid and stepped up in an amazing way!
And a thank you to our wonderful and loyal guests, so many who have become a part of the City Grille family. Your support and encouragement over the years was appreciated more than you may know and it will be remembered.
Please understand if my employees prefer not to discuss this topic and their future plans all night long for the next three nights!
Please wish them well in their future endeavors!
