Had an awesome canning session with our new friends at lazy mag last week. Mark, Leslie, and the whole crew are great people. Porter and Amber hit our Alabama distributors today! Let your favorite place know we're back in the market.

Blue Pants Brewery - Public Announcement

We are excited to announce that Blue Pants Brewery is partnering with Lazy Magnolia Brewery to continue producing some of our Unreasonably Good Beers. The first batches of our Chocolate Oatmeal Porter and our Amber Ale are being brewed this week for distribution in kegs and cans.

When we started our search for a brewery to help with production, Lazy Magnolia came to mind quickly as a great partner. They have worked with several breweries in the past and have been brewing great beer since 2005. We were able to take advantage of our existing canning line by moving it down to Kiln, Mississippi so that both our brands and potentially others can benefit from it. For now, our primary targets for production are the Chocolate Oatmeal Porter and Amber Ale. After we get established we will start working on getting Pinstripe Stout variations back on the shelves along with one or two more of our brands.

We are so thankful for all of the words of gratitude and encouragement from our customers and fans during this transition period. We look forward to continuing to offer some of our Unreasonably Good Beers, and we know that our partnership with Lazy Magnolia is a great opportunity for the future of Blue Pants Brewery!

The taproom will open its doors one last time TONIGHT for a quick retail sale event. We still have some 6-packs of Amber, Pecan Amber, and Tangerine Pale Ale along with bombers of specialty beers. Take advantage of this last chance to step foot in the brewery before it's too late! Thursday from 5:15-7:15pm. Cheers!

You all have been cleaning us out of package beer since we announced that this is our last week. We had to have our distributor send back some Oktoberfest and Pilsener. Make sure you grab some tonight! I won't be heart broken if we have to get more back before Friday.

A Letter from the Owners:

To our loyal Blue Pants friends, fans, and customers,

Due to recent events and negotiations, we are no longer able to continue doing business at our current location. After much thought, we have decided to view this as an opportunity to pursue other ventures. This is the end of an era for our business and our family, and we are sad to see it come. However, we are excited for what the future holds and the opportunity this gives us to explore new ideas and new passions.

Our gratitude for your support over the years cannot simply be put into words. Please know that Blue Pants Brewery would not have been a success for these 9+ years without the love and support of all of you - our loyal fans. We are forever grateful for our amazing staff that we had the opportunity to work with over the years and hope that their experience at Blue Pants furthered their passion for craft beer and increased their drive to continue on in this creative industry.

Madison and Huntsville have so many hardworking breweries making delicious craft beer, so we trust that your desires for amazing product will be more than satisfied! We look forward to enjoying them all with you as customers and avid supporters in the coming weeks, months, and years. We have been lucky enough to develop several Blue Pants brands over the years that our loyal followers love, and we will be pursuing the opportunity to keep them on the shelves for awhile longer by brewing those beers under contract with some of the other amazing Alabama breweries.

The taproom will be open until Friday, August 23, when we will host one last celebration with unreasonably good beer, cocktails, live music, and food. We hope you can join us! Please stop by to see us before then if you can!

Our Story

Here at Blue Pants we like to make unreasonably good beer. Our brewery is where the magic happens, where Hops, Barley, Water, and Yeast come together to make great craft beer. That’s really all you need. Our brewers started out as homebrewers, playing with ingredients, and learning which tastes we love. We use our skills and creativity to create unique, or just exemplary beers, that may not fit any particular style category but are always unreasonably good. Or really, as we say in the brewery, we make unreasonably good wort and let the yeast do the rest.

Visit the tap room for the opportunity to try our largest selection of beers. It’s a constantly rotating lineup on some of the taps, featuring unique beers only found in the tap room. On other taps you will find our mainstays and seasonals straight from the source. We open a cask, serve through a randall, or do SMASH beers now and then for some unique experiences only available at the brewery. The taproom began with approximately 1200 feet of indoor space and now also features a massive 4000 square foot patio (including an outdoor stage).

The taproom is open seven nights a week, and our beers are available on tap in bars and packaged on shelves throughout the region. Wherever you are in the southeast, we hope you’ll enjoy some unreasonably good beer with us.
