We're back with another 🍷, and today we'll be highlighting the Veneto wine region of Italy. Italy has arguably the most famous wine growing regions of the world, with Veneto being one of its most versatile. Read on for more! 👇

Veneto is located in the Northeastern part of Italy, spanning from the eastern Dolomite mountains to the Adriatic sea. The most well-known city that lies in the region is the capital of Venice which attracts millions of tourist for its beauty and charm.

Of all the wine that's produced in the region roughly a third are DOC or DOCG wines (Registered Designation of Origin). Some of the most common varieties the region produces include Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Corvina, Cabernet, and Merlot. It's the white Prosecco and red Amarone that may be the most famous wines that come from this region, however.

Looking for a PRP wine to try from this region? Look no further than our Piccolo Angelo red blend from Veneto! This wine has fantastic and rich aromas of cherries and spices. It is expressive and complex representing Veneto to its fullest ability.

Recipe pairing for

Mas De Victor, Viura –
A light, mild, crisp wine ideal for lighter dishes.

Caesar Salad

INGREDIENTS:
1. 7 anchovy fillets – chopped
2. 1/3 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
3. ¾ tablespoon roasted garlic – chopped
4. ¾ cup extra-virgin olive oil
5. ½ cup Parmesan cheese – grated
6. 4 slices, sourdough, or crusty French or Italian bread
7. 1 egg
8. 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
9. 1 ½ tablespoons fresh lemon juice
10. 1 ½ teaspoon dry mustard
11. ½ teaspoon celery salt
12. 1 teaspoon minced lemon zest
13. 1/8 teaspoon Tabasco or other hot sauce
14. ½ teaspoon white-wine Worcestershire sauce
15. 1 ¾ pounds romaine lettuce – cut into bite size pieces
PUTTING IT TOGETHER:
16. Preheat oven to 375.
17. In a food processor or blender, combine anchovies, pepper, garlic and olive oil. Blend until smooth. Add Parmesan and process for 30 seconds. Remove 3 tablespoons of dressing.
18. Using a brush, evenly spread mixture over both sides of bread. Bale until a crust develops. Break into crouton size pieces.
19. In a small sauce, boil refrigerated egg for 75 seconds. Remove with slotted spoon and let cool.
20. Place anchovy-olive oil mixture into a non-reactive bowl. Add vinegar, lemon juice, Tabasco and white-wine Worcestershire. Spoon entire egg from shell into mixture. Mix well and refrigerate into it is time to toss salad.
21. To serve, place cold romaine in large blow. Whisk dressing thoroughly and adjust seasoning to taste. Add to salad and toss. Add crouton until coated and serve on chilled plates.
