As some of you already know, and Iām sure some of you have heard, it is with sadness that I announce that Longswamp Tavern will be closing on Saturday, October 29th 2016. The success of LST over these past 6 years has been largely due to its incredible, dedicated employees and amazing customers. I am eternally grateful to those of you who supported us during this time. I am also so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with the people that I have. I couldnāt have asked for a better team of people both inside and outside the Tavern and I will never be able to properly thank you for helping create an amazing atmosphere, experience, and what I think is the best local ājointā (thanks Moāŗ) our area has seen in a long time. Your loyalty will never be forgotten and will never be paralleled.
To my fellow business ownersā¦
I want to thank those from the other ājointsā on the mountain. Ericā¦ You have been so amazing and helpful to me. I am so happy to have gotten to know you so well and am grateful for your advice and guidance. Dorothy and Seanā¦ Thanks for your support and friendship and for the amazing food. Mo, Barry, and Cuttyā¦ I donāt know what I would have done without the three of you, seriously. Nate and Tammyā¦ Thanks for the rolls, the change, the food, and for not making me feel like Iām being the pain in the ass I know that I am ;) The Bear Creek Social Clubā¦ There are too many of you to nameāŗ Levi, Nick, Andrew, Steve, Humble, Sirena, and everyone elseā¦ thank you, thank you, thank you for always supporting us, for sending people our way, and for becoming part of our Island of Misfit Toys. I am so grateful and I hope you know I love you all very much.

De(b)vonā¦ Words will never be able to describe what a pleasure it has been to work with you. You are strong, brilliant, funny, and always know the right thing to say. Your work ethic and drive are an inspiration and I know whatever life throws at you, youāll do great. Joleenā¦ What can I say that I havenāt already said? Without you both as my partner and my best friend, I would never have been able to do this. You amaze me every day, you motivate me to stay driven, you challenge me, and working with you makes me a better business owner and person. Ty$... Thanks for your hard work, your smart mouth, and being the little brother I never wanted. You have been a life saver this last year. Jamieā¦ Thank you so much for becoming a part of my team. It has been such a pleasure to watch you grow and become a fantastic bartender. I hope Iāve told you how much I appreciate everything youāve done and continue to do. If I havenāt, know that you are irreplaceable. Mikeā¦ You were here in the beginning and it means so much to me that youāve come on to be here for me at the end. You are so smart, so passionate, and such a great guy. I am so lucky to count you as my friend and now as a fellow employee. Stacie, my honorary bartenderā¦ Thank you for always having my back, for being my rock, my coach, and trying to do whatever was in your power to make sure I would always be ok and always succeed. I would never be able to properly show or tell any of you how much you have meant to me. You are my family. I love you.

Thank you for trusting us, thank you for choosing us, thank you for driving us, and thank you for your loyalty. I know I speak for the entire LST team when I say that we could not have made it without you. Every day we have looked forward to serving you. Your trust in us and love for us has always inspired us to give you excellent service, quality products, and to know that we could always improve because you deserved nothing less.
And last but not least, to Steveā¦
We built a great thing. Be proud. I hope when you look back youāll remember it fondly, as I will.
Being that this is the last week for us, I hope I will get to see most of you. But if I donāt, know that I will never forget any of you. This has been an amazing period in my life and I am, and will always be, truly grateful.
