For those who don't know, the Songwriter Showcase is our nationally-recognized singer/songwriter competition. The winner receives a new Taylor Guitar, cash, and a spot on the lineup for the next year’s Folks Festival!

The B.J. Suter & Angela Gold Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to help songwriters attend Song School at Planet Bluegrass in Lyons, Colorado, offering tuition assistance to those who feel called to be there but may need a little extra support.

Created in partnership with eTown, a nonprofit rooted in music, community, and environmental stewardship, this fund helps nurture artists ready to deepen their craft and share their voices. Thanks to this community’s generosity, eight students joined us in 2025 with partial scholarships – opening the door to learn, grow, and share their voices.

The time has come 🌞🌸 Say hello to the FULL Folks Fest lineup & the completed poster! We were so honored to have local artist Emma Friday create the poster for us this year and couldn't be more excited with how it turned out.

A note from Emma 💌

"Painting this year’s Folks Fest poster was an absolute dream and wonderful process. As a lifelong Festivarian myself, all I needed for inspiration was to remember the beauty of this gathering. People dancing and singing together in the Colorado sunshine, the river flowing and mountains towering above, and the beautiful instruments that grace the stage. Every time I go to Folks Fest I like to make a flower crown and wear it all day, which was the vision behind the floral border.

This poster was painted by hand with watercolors and love, and I hope it reminds people for years to come of the joy and togetherness of the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival!”

We’re excited to share the 2026 Rocky Mountain Folks Festival lineup, though it looks like a little coffee spill had other ideas! We'll work on getting this cleaned up, but in the meantime... consider this part reveal, part invitation to look a little closer. The music is coming into focus, the weekend is taking shape, and while one name may be obscured for now, the spirit of Folks is fully intact!

Howdy, Festivarians! We woke up this morning feeling so grateful to spend another day with you 🌞🧡

Day 3, and we're expecting more of the same as far as weather goes (with slightly lower temps, praise be)! Be prepared for potential thunderstorms. Drink water, wear sunscreen, you know the drill.
