Silver Spoon Lynnwood will join
ATAMMAYATARAMA BUDDHIST MONASTERY's Walk For Generosity
Alms-round walking is a long-standing
Buddhist traditional practice since the time of the Buddha. The purpose is to sustain a faith-based relationship between the monastic community and lay supporters while providing those with faith with an opportunity to practice generosity. Such acts of giving serve as a gateway to merit, guiding one toward higher and more refined wholesome qualities.
Therefore, we warmly invite any interested individuals and everyone who hold the faith and reverence in Buddhism to take part in this offering alms.
Alms-Round Walking Route:
The monks will begin their Alms-round walking at 9:00 A.M. on every Monday, from the parking areas of Home Depot through Costco, Lynnwood, continuing along 36th Ave and 196th Street SW in front of the Lynnwood Convention Center, and then returning to the Home Depot parking lot before proceeding back to the temple.
