Once connecting Detroit to Yellowstone National Park, US Highway 16 was established in 1926 and spanned 1,600 miles of hard-packed dirt. Though sections through Minnesota were paved by 1940 and included many scenic stops, the towns that grew along the highway fostered hard-working families committed to community. Highway 16 was retired in Minnesota upon the completion of Interstate 90 but much of

the original route remains as a network of county roads through southern Minnesota. The handcrafted beers we make at Take 16 Brewing Company are exemplary of and a tribute to the rich history we share with other communities along old Highway 16. In fact, we are not only named in honor of the route, our brewery is located on the old highway in downtown Luverne. Other communities along the old byway, those in Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota and Wyoming, share Highway 16 heritage. Join us in raising a cold bottle of Luverne Lager, toasting history and the motorists who bumped along the original, dusty highway seeking adventure.

🌭 The Corndog Company Sioux Falls will be here tonight from 5-8!

🚲 Tour de Loop - register at City Park and ride on the Loop. Win cash prizes or a new helmet. Drawing at 7:30 and must be present to win (at City Park). Then come have a beer and a corn dog here!

🦬 Buffalo Days is jam packed with food, music and lots of fun!

Starting Thursday we have the The Corndog Company Sioux Falls here from 5-8! It's Tour de Loop so get the family out on bikes and then come eat! (Tour de Loop registration is at City Park this year due to the detour)

It's Trivia night with the Rock County Community Library. Register a team of 1-4 players. Free to play. Starts at 7.

Friday night is a block party sponsored by Sanford Luverne Clinic!
TWO food trucks to make sure you get enough to eat. Bluestem Bistro and 605IslandGuy will be serving 5-8!
DJ Cody from Sweet Life DJs will be keeping the party going from 6-9.
10% of beer sales for the night will go back to the community...to Rock County Community Foundation!

Saturday is another block party with Nate BOOTS back again playing 6-9 and Mama Nicky’s Tamales serving food from 5-8!
