LABOR DAY BONUS ROUND.

We weren't sure we had another one in us after the absolutely off-the-hook Sunday Funday you guys gave us last night...

But apparently Junior does!

So we're handing Michael “Junior” Hernandez the keys and letting him take over the Sand Bar tonight for a special Labor Day edition of Service Industry Night!

Doors open at 7PM.

If you spent this Labor Day weekend behind a bar, waiting tables, cooking, cleaning, working security, pouring drinks or taking care of everybody else while Ludington was having fun...

tonight is for YOU.

Our Service Industry family gets 25% OFF food, drinks and Sand Bar swag from 7PM–Close.

And after the weekend we just had, there are probably a whole lot of people around town who could use a cold drink and a chance to finally sit on the other side of the bar.

WAIT... THE SAND BAR IS OPEN ON A SUNDAY?!

Yep.

We normally use Sundays to shut the doors, catch our breath and give our team a well-earned day to rest.

But this isn't a normal Sunday.

Labor Day is tomorrow, downtown is alive, people are out and about... and it just didn't feel right to leave the lights off at the Sand Bar.

So we're opening the doors at 4PM TODAY for a special Labor Day Weekend SUNDAY FUNDAY!

And we're setting the stage for a SPECIAL SUNDAY OPEN MIC tonight.

Bring a guitar. Bring your voice. Bring your people. Come play a few songs or just grab a drink and see who finds their way onto the Sand Bar stage.

And let's just say...

we're hearing some Echoes that there may be a few surprises hitting the stage tonight.

No big production. No complicated plan.

Just musicians, friends, cold drinks and one of those nights where we really don't know exactly what's going to happen.

And frankly... those tend to be some of our favorite nights.

Tonight we officially throw the switch on Labor Day Weekend at The Sand Bar with one of our favorite nights of the week…

LUDINGTON LOVES KARAOKE with our own VINTAGENUTZ!

If you've spent any time around the West Michigan karaoke scene, you already know Ryan Lloyd — aka VintageNutz — is something special.

Ryan doesn't just push buttons and call names.

The guy KNOWS music.

He knows how to read a room. He knows when to turn it up. He knows how to encourage the first-timer who's scared to death to grab the mic — and how to give the seasoned singers a stage where they can absolutely shine.

Most importantly, Ryan genuinely cares about the people in the room.

And THAT is what Ludington Loves Karaoke has always been about.

It's not a singing competition every Thursday night. It's a room full of friends, strangers, musicians, bartenders, locals and visitors coming together, cheering each other on and becoming part of the show.

After a couple unexpected days off, it feels pretty damn good to turn the lights back on and get back to doing what we do.

And what better way than our Wednesday DOUBLE DIP!

Open Mic | 9PM–Close
Our own Chocolate Thunder takes over and opens the Sand Bar stage to singers, songwriters, musicians and anyone ready to jump into the mix.

Ludington... we've got some bad Taco Tuesday news.

Apparently even Tacotopia has mechanical difficulties once in a while.

We've been having an issue with our beer and keg coolers, and unfortunately the problem decided that today was the day it needed our full attention.

We have the professionals on the way and we're getting it taken care of, but we simply won't have everything ready to properly serve our Build Your Own Street Taco Tuesday tonight.

So, unfortunately...

NO TACO TUESDAY TONIGHT.

We hate saying that almost as much as you hate reading it.

You've turned this little Tuesday idea of ours into something pretty special, and we'd rather miss one night than try to cobble something together that isn't up to the standard you've come to expect from us.

We'll get things fixed, get everything cold again, and get Tacotopia back where it belongs.

Thanks for understanding, Ludington.

And don't worry...

The Taco Police have NOT shut us down.

They're still not invited.

QUICK HEADS-UP FOR TONIGHT...

The Sand Bar will be CLOSED tonight, Monday, August 31, as we get our entire team together for a meeting.

That means no Service Industry Night tonight.

Every once in a while, it's important for us to get everyone in the same room, talk, listen, get on the same page and make sure we're continuing to take good care of this place—and all of you who walk through our doors.

Thanks for understanding and giving us the night.

We'll be back at it tomorrow for Taco Tuesday!

And to our SIN crew... we'll get back to SINning next Monday!
