🔥 MEET THE CHEF BEHIND THE NEW ERA AT BOBBIE SUE’S 🔥

We’re excited to officially introduce our new Executive Chef, Mike Geelhoed! 👨‍🍳

Mike is entering his 20th year in the restaurant industry, and his story is one built the old-fashioned way — through hard work, hands-on experience, passion, and a whole lot of time in the kitchen.

No culinary degree. Just 20 years of learning, leading, creating, and perfecting his craft.

His career has taken him through 4 states and 8 cities, working with nearly every concept you can imagine. He got his start locally at Taco Bell and Hungry Howie’s before becoming part of the opening team at Rockwell Republic in downtown Grand Rapids.

At 21, Mike packed up and headed to Los Angeles, with his career eventually taking him to Minneapolis, Lansing, and beyond.

Along the way, he’s worked in everything from Irish pubs and b**r taverns to Italian fine dining, French bistros, country clubs, wood-fired pizza trucks, and meat markets. That wide range of experience has shaped the food, creativity, and hospitality he brings to Bobbie Sue’s today.

But what makes this even more special? Mike has local roots. ❤️

A graduate of Saranac, his family has generations of history in the Lowell and Ada area. He and his wife are raising two kids, are proud pet parents, and his wife is a fellow entrepreneur who runs her own small business.

For Mike, food is only part of the equation. His real passions are education and hospitality — building up the people around him, creating great experiences, and making food that keeps you coming back.

We couldn’t be more excited about the energy, experience, and ideas Chef Mike is bringing into our kitchen.

You may have already noticed some changes around here… 👀🔥
