The Hall on Washington is open for business today and tonight and in preparation for St Patrick’s Day enjoyment The Hall on Washington and Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co, blended two loves…pretzels and beer. Beginning today you can get a Kentucky Irish Red Ale® beer and an individual sized pretzel for $7.00.
The first brew produced by Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co, Kentucky Irish Red AleÂŽ, is described as a marriage between two classic beer styles: Irish Red Ale and English Pale Ale.
With a light amber color, Kentucky Irish Red Ale owes its body and character to select imported malts and a pinch of wheat malt for a rich, smooth taste. This brew is placed into bourbon barrels to make the brewery’s flagship Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale®. Available while Inventory lasts!

The Hall on Washington will be closed on Monday March 16, 2020 for much needed electrical repairs to our back bar lighting system. The Left side of our back bar lighting system has been out for several weeks. Instead of a quick fix or band aid… our electrical partner suggested a redo of the entire system which will take a significant amount of time. We will reopen Tuesday March 17 for St. Patrick’s enjoyment.
Thank you

To our valued friends and customers,

In this uncertain time, we wanted to reach out personally to discuss the current COVID-19 virus situation and the world events that are concerning us all.

While the situation is unfolding, the reality of what the future may bring is not clear. We want you to know that there is no higher priority for our family than the safety of our customers and employees. We are heavily monitoring current events and following all required and suggested practices provided by the city, state, and national health offices as they offer them. According to the most recent information from the CDC, for most people, the immediate risk in our area of being exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to be low.

In any event, we want you to feel confident when visiting The Hall on Washington. As a result, we have enhanced our cleaning processes throughout the day and stepped up our nightly sanitation processes in the interests of our customers and employee’s health and safety. We also are mandating the use of plastic gloves at all times for our employees in a further step to help aide in promoting a clean and virus-free environment. As an additional measure for our guests, we have provided hand sanitizer stations located in multiple areas of the venue for ease of access and use as deemed necessary. If unsure of locations, please ask for assistance.

To ensure you are always aware of the latest information regarding dining at our venue and the restaurant community, we will continue to update you as more information becomes available. We want to be transparent and ensure our commitment to providing a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable atmosphere is known.

A shared message by the hospitality and restaurant community!

We mixed up a little something special for you! Every February 22, we come together for National Margarita Day to pay homage to our favorite celebratory cocktail. The margarita — triple sec, tequila, and lime juice — was created in 1938 in Mexico and is widely considered the official drink of having fun. It’s always 5 o’clock somewhere, and that’s never more true than on National Margarita Day. So get out a shaker, pull out your frozen margarita machine, or head to your local watering hole and order a margarita. You can’t go wrong.

We have a new one tonight thanks to our folks at Heidelberg Distributors... Hofbrauhaus Freising Dunkel...Beer is a beloved tradition at Gräfliches Hofbrauhaus Freising GmbH. For six centuries after its founding, the brewery belonged to the bishops of Freising, who brewed beer for the Bavarian noble court and its citizens, thusly named “Hofbrauhaus” Freising. The word “Hofbrauhaus” is German for “Noble Court Brewery”. In 1812, the Bavarian countess, Maria Leopoldine, acquired the brewery, and it has remained privately owned by ancestors of Bavarian nobility ever since. Today, Hofbrauhaus Freising has combined its centuries of brewing expertise with state of the art technology to achieve maximum quality and taste. They are especially proud to be recognized as a “Slow Brewer”, the seal of the highest beer quality. The Hofbrauhaus Freising brewery is located at Mainburger Str. 26, Freising (Bavaria), Germany.

Great way to start the New Year. Good article about The Hall on Washington. Pretty much sums up who we are, what we built and what we serve. Please note we are not near Rupp Arena, but rather Yum Center. Thank you Andrea Limke.

This bar just goes on forever.

One sip at a time

We took and incredible menu of Brats and Beer, and planted it in an incredible unique space on Washington street near the intersection of First street, on the backside of Whiskey Row, one of Louisville’s most historic landmarks, and is brought to you through our love of Steins, Sausages and Spirits. The Hall on Washington exists for one simple reason, FUN! Whether it’s for lunch or dinner, we have created an atmosphere worthy of a trip downtown any day or night of the week; not just when our favorite basketball teams or our favorite bands happen to be playing at the KFC YUM Center. Like our page and you’ll be the first to know of events at The Hall on Washington.

In Germany the beer hall is a communal gathering place where people can enjoy the company of friends and family. It is the marriage of two things that will forever be harmonious: beer and sausage! The Hall on Washington pays homage to the German population who once lived and worked in Louisville in the early days. The space creates a unique spirit of an open-air German bier Hall, with an urban twist. We invite our guests to sit at our spacious 65-foot bar, communal tables and comfortable lounge chairs; maybe even partake in a game of shuffleboard, table game or corn-hole!

The Hall on Washington’s menu, service and atmosphere will exceed your expectations and ensure you have a fantastic time. The Hall on Washington’s location is the obvious choice for your pre or post event fun, a drink after work, or just a great time with good friends! Want all three? Come downtown, or stay if you're already there, and witness what Whiskey Row has become!

So try The Hall on Washington next time you're downtown and let us show you our brand of "Steins, Sausages and Spirits!"
