Before it was a restaurant, it was a garage.

The corner of Bardstown & Grinstead used to be the Ditto's & Hartzell garage. That's where our name comes from. Today the brick walls hold original commissioned artwork, and the room has the kind of character you can't fake.

Next time you're here, look around. Every piece on the walls was chosen on purpose.

Sweater weather calls for pot roast.

Chef Dominic's Countryside Pot Roast starts with boneless short ribs, braised until fork-tender. They're served on a popover with red w**e sauce, garlic green beans, buttered carrots, and smashed potatoes.

Date night, solved: $45 for two.

Ditto's for Two gets you a shared appetizer, two entrées, and a shared dessert. Start with the Crabmeat Quesadillas with toasted almonds and apricots, then the Stuffed Pacific Bass and the KY Proud Pork Chop in port w**e sauce. Finish with the Chocolate Brownie Torte with bourbon ganache.

It's the perfect pre-show dinner before a night downtown.

Our lunch menu runs Monday–Friday, 11am–2pm, and it's built for a working lunch. Options include a Certified Angus burger with your choice of toppings, the citrus salad with currants and oranges in a lemon herb vinaigrette, and Dominic's pork and bison Stacked Meatloaf on Texas toast.

Exposed brick and original art make a much better backdrop than a breakroom. Bringing the whole team? We easily host groups up to 30.

Can't decide between surf and turf? You don't have to.

Our Grilled Tenderloin of Beef & Crab Cake puts a tender filet over gnocchi in a sundried tomato mornay, with sautéed green beans next to a Ditto's crab cake and tarragon aioli.

Pair it with a glass of Smith & Hook Cab. Its dark-fruit structure stands up to the beef without overpowering the crab. It's on our fall seasonal menu.

35 plus years. Same chef. Same corner of Bardstown Road. Still one of Louisville’s very best.

This August, thank you for every anniversary dinner, every business lunch, every celebration, and every quiet Tuesday you’ve spent with us. We don’t take a single one of them for granted.

Most restaurants don't make it 35 years. Ours has had the same chef the whole time.

Chef Dominic Serratore and Frank Yang met at an upscale restaurant in Providence, RI. Both were classically trained, and both wanted to build something of their own. More than 35 years later, Dominic is still running the kitchen at 1114 Bardstown Rd. That's why the pot roast tastes the way you remember it, and why the crab cakes haven't changed since your first visit.
