We've had several supporters asking us if we are currently involved in the project going into the former space we made popular but were evicted from. The answer is Hell NO! We are not involved in anything to do with that building or any other current projects in that area of town - just to clarify any misunderstandings after some news reports made it sound as if we were involved. Thank you for continuing to check in on us, we do miss you all and the area of town we spent our life savings investing into! We will have some great news concerning former owner/ exectuvive chef Joe frase and his upcoming project very soon! Oink, oink! We will keep this page open so we can continue to communicate with our fans regardless if The Pig ever comes back or not. Joe Frase will always be around the community he brought major national attention & press to and he is ready to lead again! We should be making an announcement about his new project by April.

The now-closed Blind Pig restaurant accuses its former business partner of inappropriately taking money while managing a bar called Meat that had been located above the Butchertown eatery.

As many of you know today is our last day in Butchertown. We will be moving out of this building on Sunday & Monday. If anyone has any bubble rap or extra newspapers they could drop by for our move it would be greatly appreciated. A battle between the owners of a popular Louisville restaurant and the building's owner has gotten ugly. Tuesday, the promise of a deal from the building owner's attorney gave the owner of The Blind Pig hope that his business could stay open, but that deal never happened.

The Blind Pig owes its landlord $37,318 representing five months' back rent, late fees and insurance, according to an audio recording of a Monday court hearing in which a Jefferson District Court judge issued an eviction order to the Butchertown restaurant.

I know this will bring great joy to certain people, but what does it say about you who revel in the shattered lifelong dream of someone who has put everything thing he had into making his dream a reality?
