Out now! Inner Circle our Mosaic Pale Ale made in partnership with our friends FOKO - Logan Street Market. You’ve seen a version of this beer before. We ran a pilot batch of this Pale Ale back in late January. Our conclusion? Add more hops! Specifically around 3 lbs per bbl 44 more of Mosaic.

As for the inner radius ingredients, we turned to our friends at South Fork Malthouse (Cynthiana, KY) for some of their delicious Pale & Vienna malt. And for some bittering hops.

The name? Focusing our efforts and dollars inside an ever-shrinking radius has afforded us plenty of like-minded friends. Neighbors such as Foko, who share our values and love of storytelling quickly become allies.

Making its debut tomorrow (4/29), Asherah’s Shrine, our collaboration with .

For this hazy IPA we added a large percentage of South Fork Malthouse 6row barley and several pounds of juniper berries. Having used 6row in a variety of other beers we noticed that the higher protein content in the malt contributed to dense haze in the finished product. Even better it’s grown and malted in Kentucky!

The folks at Turtleback Ridge share a dedication to making beer with a sense of place, and have been searching for a way to make a hazy IPA that fits into that mission. The juniper berries mesh seamlessly with the fruity hops and dry out the mouthfeel.

The name? Juniper has a long standing history of being used in beverages as an herbal remedy. Everything from stomach aches to nightmares. It is said to have been a symbol of Asherah, the Canaanite fertility goddess. In the 1980’s archeologist found an idol made from juniper at a 7500 yr old worship site.

Out now, Siduri Speaks! We’re excited to release our latest saison made with South Fork Malthouse Munich & Pale Malt, Spelt and a touch of oak smoked malt.

This beer highlights our dedication to making beer that represents Kentucky, its climate and ingredients. A majority of the malt for this beer was grown/malted in the our state and the oak smoked malt was smoked with KY rye whisky barrels. Furthermore the appearance of this beer is emblematic of the occasional dreary day during early spring.

If our Sprig lager was symbolic of new growth during these months, Siduri Speaks is a reminder that we’re not quite done with winter yet.

The name? We turned to the Epic of Gilgamesh for inspiration. Siduri being the woman bartender/ brewer along the journey. She shares her wisdom to the lead character Gilgamesh, saying he should let go of his stress about the mysteries between life and death and enjoy where he is in the moment.

New Release! Scruffy Outlier - Rye IPA. Made memory of Scott Hand. Scott was an influential brewer in the state of Kentucky, and helped paved the way for many of us in craft beer today.

With the help of the and the Helping Our People (H.O.P.) Foundation a portion of the proceeds of this beer will go towards scholarships for the Fermentation Science program at Madisonville Community College.

Made with just enough rye from and left unfiltered to live up to the name Scruffy.

The name? If you see a beer named Scruffy Outlier in KY, chances are it’s part of the same initiative.
