🚨 Vendors Needed 🚨

We’re adding a full scale vendor market to Hops on the Hill this year, which we’re aptly calling Shop on the Hill!

We’re looking for 12-15 local vendors to set up shop on Saturday August 1st from 4:00pm-9:00pm at Hops on the Hill. It’s our busiest day of the year, with well over 1,000 people expected through our doors the day of the event!

There will be a $100 deposit due when signing up, which will be refunded the day after the festival, once participation is confirmed.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ PRIDE!!! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

THE Pride party of the year is going down tomorrow at Mile Wide!!! It’s gonna be a beautiful day of celebrating love, diversity, and embracing our truest selves. Here are some details for the festivities:

- The event is FREE to attend!!! It’s also family friendly, as long as anyone underage is accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

- A variety of vendors will be set up starting at 4:00pm. All are small businesses, so as with everything, support local and help keep your money in our community!!!

- Mac’s will be slinging pizzas all day, as always!!!

- will also be on hand, grilling up some gourmet smash burgers!!!

- The drag show will start at 7:00pm. BE SURE TO BRING CASH TO TIP THE PERFORMERS!!!

- There will be TWO different iterations of Dorothy’s Riot on tap tomorrow!!! Dorothy’s Riot - Sour Ale w/Rainbow Sherbet & Dorothy’s Other Riot - Sour Ale w/Strawberries & Coconut Cream!!!

- And finally, as is tradition, we’ll finish off the night with an epic dance party with our besties from starting at 9:00pm!!!

You don’t wanna have to lie to your friends when you tell ‘em you came to the best Pride event in recorded history, so we’ll see you tomorrow!!!

🍩 BA Stout Release 🍩

Barrel-Aged Doughnut or Donut
Maple Smoked Imperial Stout
Aged 5 years in Barton Bourbon Barrels
10% ABV
Releases: Friday June 5th - National Donut (or Doughnut) Day!!!

Back in 2021 we teamed up with the absolute badass ladies from Hi-Five Doughnuts to make a Maple Smoked Imperial Stout. A lot has changed in the five years since then, and the ladies unfortunately closed up shop last year. But the beer remains, so we’re excited to help keep their spirit alive with the release of this barrel-aged version of Doughnut or Donut.

For the base beer, if memory serves, we took our base Imperial Stout recipe and added a touch of Applewood smoked malt for that familiar bacon-y smokiness, and then dumped a not insubstantial amount of pure Vermont Maple Syrup into the boil. Finally, to take it over the top, we added 500 doughnut (or donut) holes.

Before packaging we racked off a small portion of the beer into freshly dumped Barton Bourbon Barrels, where it sat for the last five years. In that time the smoke has faded a bit, and become more harmonious with the rest of the beer, and the maple syrup takes more of the center stage. Add to that some delightful vanilla barrel characters, and you know you’re in for a treat!

The ONLY problem with this beer is we still have absolutely no idea how that word is spelled. 🤷🏻‍♂️

We have a HUGE week coming up, friends.

Wednesday brings our Mo that Magic the Gathering meet-up with our friends at Book & Music Exchange in the Highlands.

Thursday marks Week 2 of Noble Trivia Thursdays. Last week was a blast, and a wonderful change of pace from our former trivia nights. Come see what’s new and different with the guys from Noble!

Friday, aka National Doughnut Day, brings the full release of Barrel Aged Doughnut or Donut, a Maple Smoked Imperial Stout we brewed a few years ago with the badass ladies of Hi-Five Doughnuts.

And finally, on Saturday, we’re beyond stoked to bring you our 6th Annual Pride Festival with our besties from . DJs start at 5:00pm. The Queens take the stage at 7:00pm. And Louisville Silent Disco keeps the party going starting at 9:00pm!

🎉 MW10 Drop 5 of 12 🎉

Force Ghost
DDH Hazy IPA w/Galaxy & Citra Hops

As the year-long celebration rolls on, we’re excited to release the next in our MW10 series of Mile Wide classics. Each month a new (old) beer will be released. Some have only been brewed once, while others will be making an appearance after a short hiatus. Some come from our early years, and some are far more recent. We can’t wait to share more with you as the year rolls on.

Back in early 2019, we took a trip down to Chattanooga to brew a collab with our pals at Heaven & Ale. The result of that collab is one of our favorite Hazy IPAs we’ve ever brewed, and one that changed our entire approach to brewing the style!

We first brewed our own batch of Force Ghost in early 2020, right before the world shut down. In fact, that first batch of Force Ghost was our first big release of the COVID shutdown. And what a couple days it was. Our three owners loaded up cars and delivered over 100 cases of FG in a single day to Mile Wide Club Members around the city. The following day we released the beer to the general public, and less than 36 hours after its initial release, it was all gone.

We’ve continued to brew Force Ghost off and on over the last 5+ years, but foregoing the double dry-hopping. So we’re excited to bring back that original recipe to celebrate our upcoming 10th Anniversary!

Force Ghost is built on a heavily oated grain bed, with both flaked & malted oats, for a phenomenally creamy body. We then dry-hopped it with the greatest hop combo known to man, Galaxy & Citra. Then, to put a massive exclamation point on the beer, we dosed it with an excessive amount of Galaxy Omni & Citra Omni. It’s a special beer, friends. We think you’re gonna love it!

Heaven & Ale unfortunately closed down a few years ago, but we’re very happy we can keep their legacy alive, even just a little bit, through this wonderful beer.

Loud Noises: Oh Snap - Peach Tea

The second release in our new-ish Loud Noises series, Oh Snap!, is finally hitting our taps this week. Our homage to the greatest beverages from the greatest decade even continues with Peach Tea!

Built on our Loud Noises base, we added a healthy dose of tea extract to the beer, and finished it off with Peach purée from our friends at . The result is the absolute perfect beer for these early days of summer, evoking thoughts of rocking chairs on front porches, watching the world slowly roll by.

Loud Noises: Oh Snap! Peach Tea releases to MWC members tomorrow (Wednesday 5/20), and Friday (5/22) for the general public, on draft and in 4 packs of 16oz cans to-go!

🚨 Holiday Week Schedule 🚨

It’s a holiday week…kinda…with Memorial Day next Monday. So we thought it’d be a good time to drop TWO new beers on y’all. Double Dry-Hopped Force Ghost Hazy IPA, and Oh Snap!: Peach Tea will both release this week! Two certified bangers, to make sure your holiday weekend is well stocked.

Mile Wide Club Members, we’ll release both beers for you all on Wednesday of this week, because…

We will be closed on Thursday for a private party! And keep us in mind when you’re planning your wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, graduation party, etc.
