🎶 The final Friday Night on the Tar of the season is here! 🎶

Let’s send summer off right in downtown Louisburg! Join us this Friday, September 18th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Main Street for our last concert of the year. Grab your lawn chairs, bring the whole family, and enjoy a night of great music, delicious food, and local shopping.

UPDATE (2:07pm): The leak in Downtown Louisburg has been repaired and the evacuation lifted.

🚨🚨Gas leak reported near Franklin County Courthouse on Main Street in Louisburg. Please avoid the area while crews work to resolve the issue.

Town Offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

🗑️ Residential Garbage: Service will begin on Tuesday and residents will still receive both residential garbage collections.

🚧 Bulk Pickup: There will be no bulk pickup services on Wednesday, September 9.

The WSM Department will have the southbound lane of South Main Street closed today, Friday, August 14, 2026.

· 📍 Location: South Main St. (between Bunn Rd. and Grant St.)

· 🕘 Time: Starting at 9:00 AM

· ⏳ Duration: Approximately 3 hours

· 🚒 Emergency Access: Emergency services will be able to get through if needed.
