From cozy seating to a refurbished antique bar, LOTR offers a welcoming atmosphere and a selection of artisan wines from around the world. The Los Olivos Tasting Room & Wine Shop was established in 1987 as California's first independent tasting room specializing in Santa Barbara and Central Coast Pinot Noirs. We also carry the fine handcrafted wines produced by the smaller, local winemakers and wi

neries that for the most part do not have their own tasting room or have limited days they are open. Wines we feature include: Alban, Au Bon Climat, Center of Effort, Herman Story, Jack Creek, Jaffurs, Ken Brown, Lucia, Luli, Longoria, Ojai, Pisoni, Roar, Spear, Sea Smoke, Siduri, Tyler, Wrath. There are many other wines that we carefully select to carry, representing what we feel is the best of the Central Coast's elite, hand crafted wines. Our "Consumable Art" sign over the door reflects the artistry in the talents of the winemakers we represent. Our wine tasting includes 9 wine: 2 whites, 4 pinot noirs, 2 other select reds and a dessert wine. Groups of 8 or more are requested to make prior arrangements, since our tasting room has limited space. We also feature a very consumer friendly wine club that allows you to select quantity, frequency and price range of the wines we select to ship to you. Since our inventory is constantly changing, our club members never receive the same wine twice (unless so requested). Shipping is available as allowed by state laws. We invite you to visit and give your palate a real taste treat. Our knowledgeable staff will assist you in selecting the perfect wine for dinner or to lay down to enjoy in a few years. We're releasing our LOTR Classic Spring Club on April 3rd, and for this release we're focusing on Pinot Noir and giving our members access to everything from Amity Hills to Adelaida to Sta. Rita. With a LOTR membership, you get access to artisan wines from around the world. When we get our hands on something special--whether from Italy, France, Argentina or America--we give our members access.

"I've been super into Syrah lately! Guigal's Chateau d'Ampuis Cote Rotie hits the spot. 93% Syrah with the balance Viognier, which gives it a little brightness." --Mike, owner.

We love because the winemaker and owner doesn't take himself too seriously, but produces VERY serious wines. The whole brand is a rejection of any snobbery around wine, and we're supportive of that. We carry the Late Bloomer series, which is Grenache-based. We think Grenache is the "it" varietal right now on the Central Coast. Come on in and check it out. It will knock your teeth out!

In the UK, the day after Christmas is a national holiday and known as “Boxing Day.” The name comes from the tradition of boxing up leftovers and some gifts and sharing them with the less fortunate.

Though we don’t celebrate the holiday officially here, it’s a great day to bring a bottle of wine to a neighbor’s house in the spirit of the day of giving! 🎁🍷🍾
