Finally getting back to life after the passing of my mom. I miss her terribly. She was buried on Saturday…so the wounds are still fresh. Couple that with the passing of my dad about a year and a half ago. On the bright side, I learned so much about caregiving and how to navigate through the system. So I decided to dedicate a podcast on dealing with caregiving for ailing family and friends. I want to share the many insights I gained during these tough times to hopefully make your burden a little lighter. I’m at a loss for words. Simply devastated. My mom passed away on Friday, Feb 23 at 2:33am after a brave fight with liver cancer and a couple other ailments. She made it to her 90th birthday (Jan 30). My wife and I were at her side when she took her last breath. The world has gone dark for me since then…and I’m hoping to find some light soon. Special thanks to the angels that helped our family take care of her: Kimberly (and her family), Marta, my brother (and his family) , Nancy (and her husband, Temu) and of course my wife Janie . Her funeral services will be held on March 16 at 11am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in East LA. Thank you. -J
