Wednesday’s Mezcal Collective is tapping in with Amateco Agave Spirits — an uncertified mezcal out of San Luis Amatlán, crafted by the Santiago family at Palenque El Viejo Campesino 🌵🔥

This week we’re pouring 4 different cultivated + semi-cultivated expressions, giving you a deeper look into the character and tradition behind these agaves.

Hi, My name is James Bartlett and I am the author of the alternative guides to LA called Gourmet Ghosts. I'm working now with Mike Huberty at American Ghost Walks to start holding a walking/food tour of downtown LA led by me on a weekend day, probably an afternoon.
The tour would involve stops at several locations for food/snacks, and I of course wanted to include Las Perlas because of its history, it's imany food/drink choices, and its proximity to other landmarks that would be on the tour.
To that end, we were thinking of exploring a partnership: we would bring a group of say 10-12 people to the bar and have a snack - something small and to-go - or maybe even a drink, as part of the tour walk-through. Mike wanted to work with a pp rate or something to do this on a regular basis, but hadn't heard back so far - we've reached out via email and IG.

todays collective features spirits by wolf bev co.

some highlights feature some of the best tequila available that uses bagazo for the fermentation and the tails in the distillation to showcase a non watered down tequila, and a mexican Gin from the saturno distillery in zapopan jalisco. as for the main attraction, three expressions by Lucero that you aren't gonna want to miss, Oh and free food !
