The gigantic 40,000+ square foot space encompasses pure elegance and beauty with most of its original 1926 architecture and design intact, while offering multiple floor plan design options for events with three individual rooms for varying event needs and size.
*SEEING A SHOW*
The main room (referred to as The Belasco) is a general admission venue with a balcony level accessible by stairs. The main level is a large open room that packs full of exciting and enthusiastic fans throughout the night. We recommend arriving early or purchasing a Fast Lane Pass for early access into the venue so that you can snag those front row spots! We always recommend buying tickets in advance, but the box office opens 2 hours before door time for purchases or will call pickup. The venue has two secondary rooms: 1926 at The Belasco and Below at The Belasco
1926 at The Belasco is a 500 capacity space on the 3rd floor of The Belasco with a separate entrance off of Hill. Intimate room with mosaic windows and great eyeline from any spot. Below at The Belasco is a 250 capacity space under the main room of The Belasco. Speakeasy vibes that have housed the DTLA elite. Venture on down and leave your inhibitions behind…
The theater has a full spectrum of sophisticated sound and lighting equipment, offering a state-of-the-art collection of audio visual technology for superb quality and optimum efficiency to bring all aspects of production under one roof. The box office is currently only open on show days. Accessible seating is available at a first-come, first-serve basis, and can be purchased in advanced on our event ticket pages. Concessions are located throughout the venue and The Vintage, bar and restaurant and cater to a wide selection of craft beers, drafts, bourbons, and premium cocktails. Talk to our staff about the unique specials for the evening! Upstairs in the balcony, the 3rd floor has an even greater vantage point, mobile bars, and is open for general admission on most occasions. The balcony features tiered and table seating for fans that would like to enjoy the show away from the crowd. Fans can purchase these premium seats in advance here or upgrade on the night of the show - just ask a staff member for assistance.
*FASTLANE*
As the venue is all general admission, it is important to get in the venue first to grab the front row spots! Fast Lane passes are $10 and can be purchased online or at the box office when you arrive. At door time, the Fast Lane doors will open first, allowing all fans with Fast Lane passes to enter the room and get settled. Once all Fast Lane purchasers are in the venue, general admission doors will open to the rest of the crowd. We highly recommend getting a Fast Lane pass vs. waiting all morning in line to see your favorite band!

*VENUE HISTORY*
Frederic and Edward Belasco first founded the original theater in 1904, naming the eponymous theater for their more famous brother, David. Housed at 337 S. Main Street, the 1200-seat theatre featured a stage spanning 70 ft. wide and 38 ft. Once construction was finally completed in 1926, the theatre was renamed the Follies and became a popular burlesque destination. Its opening night on November 11, 1926 featured the play “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”—the first of many to grace The Belasco stage along with stars like Humphrey Bogart and Helen Hayes. Designed by architects Morgan, Walls & Clements, the then-new construction was a six-story reinforced concrete structure showcasing exquisite attention to detail. Its cast stone decorations display an unforgettable fusion of Churrigueresque, Spanish Renaissance, Moorish, and Gothic details. Most of the building’s amazing detail has survived well to this day, including the striking dome ceiling. To now home concerts by some of the most prolific artists of our time, The Belasco is proud to continue to be deeply tied to DTLA’s culture and host the greatest concerts and events.
