Port au Prince arrives at Apotheke LA lush, spiced, and charged with absinthe.

Absinthe, White Rum, Batavia Arrack, Pineapple, Green Tea, Lemon, Cinnamon, Coriander, and Peychaud’s Bitters come together in a Formula that moves between ripe fruit, herbal intensity, and deep aromatic warmth. White rum and pineapple bring the tropical lift, while Batavia Arrack adds its signature funk, a sugarcane spirit from Java known for its bold, dry complexity and red rice fermentation.

Green tea gives the cocktail structure, lemon cuts through with brightness, and absinthe brings its unmistakable anise driven edge. Peychaud’s Bitters, born from New Orleans apothecary tradition and famously tied to the Sazerac, adds a spiced medicinal snap that carries through the finish.

LA is running hot. Out Of Pocket is right on time.

Now serving at Apotheke LA, this summer Formula moves fast between smoke, tropical fruit, bitter depth, and spice. Mezcal, Pineapple Eau de Vie, Gentian Amaro, Cayenne, Yellow Mango, Lime, Agave Nectar, Ginger, and Epazote come together bright, bold, and just unpredictable enough.

Mezcal sets the smoky base, pineapple eau de vie and yellow mango bring the tropical charge, and gentian amaro cuts through with bitter structure. Lime and ginger keep it crisp, cayenne turns up the heat, and epazote adds a green, earthy edge.

Inspired by the Roman goddess of fruit trees, abundance, and harvest, this whiskey sour brings Rye Whiskey, Apple Jack, Amaretto, Pickled Black Plum, Lemon, Rosemary, and Aquafaba into vivid balance.
