Still thinking about last week’s winemaker night 🍇🇬🇷

Thank you to everyone who came by to drink, learn, and celebrate with us. We had such a special evening pouring these vibrant Greek wines and hearing the stories behind them firsthand.

A special thank you to Dimitrios and Elly for sharing their incredible wines and stories with us — such a joy to have you at the bar. ✨

Greek wine, full house, great energy — what more could we ask for? 🍷

We are still pouring a few of their wines this week- come grab a glass!

What’s the perfect day at Bar Covell you ask?
Dreamy patio seating, pours worth lingering over, and a board that never tells the same story twice 🧀🍷

Our cheese & charcuterie selection is thoughtfully curated and always rotating—featuring domestic and international cuts, exceptional cheeses, and all the accoutrements to complement your glass. And of course, fresh-baked braided baguette, served warm.

Join us for a glass, and stay for the board (it makes a pretty perfect dinner).

Covell Wine Staff Picks 🍷 Bartender Caitlin’s Choice: Domaine Pignier “GPS” Côtes du Jura 2023 Domaine Pignier

•🍇 Grapes: 40% Gamay Blanc (an ancient local strain of Chardonnay), 30% Poulsard and Trousseau, 20% Savagnin
Rosé & Blanc, and 5% of 13 other old grape varieties (Petit Béclan, Argan, Peloursin, Gueuche,Sauvignognasse, Lignan, Reze, Sacy, Pleurion, Humagne, Altesse, Mondeuse, and Trousseau Gris).
•📍Region: Val de Sorne, Jura, France
• 🚜 🌱 Certified Biodynamic (Demeter) - Direct press and co-fermentation of all grapes together!
• 📝Bartender Notes: “ Early into my wine journey I used to only want to drink mineral-driven, light, zippy whites. However my palette now craves slightly fuller-bodied, savory whites with lots of character. With that, Jura has become a favorite region! A blend of Gamay Blanc, Poulsard, Trousseau, Sauvagnin, and 13 other old grape varieties, this wine is exactly what I love about the region. Fruity and floral, perfect with cheese, especially our Ricotta Toast, this would impress all the wine geeks you know!! “ - Caitlin Land

Covell Wine Staff Picks 🍷 Bartender Mike’s Choice: Viñátigo Marmajuelo 2021

•🍇 Grapes: 100% Marmajuelo
•📍Region: Tenerife, Canary Islands
• 📝Bartender Notes: “I’m always ready to push Canary Islands wine on anyone who will put up with me, but Juan Jesús Méndez is one of the best. His focus is on saving the indigenous grapes of the islands and really showcasing what they can do. This Marmajuelo is a perfect example - a medium bodied white wine with beautiful acidity and tropical, peachy and salty notes on the palate. Super volcanic soil…it’s great. Come drink some with us.“ -

🍷 Special Guest Wine 🍷
Meet the Qupé Marsanne 2013 — a beautiful expression of Central Coast winemaking.

🍇✨ 75% Marsanne, 25% Roussanne
📍 Santa Barbara County, CA

Qupé (kyoo-pay) — named after the Chumash word for California poppy — was founded in 1982 by Bob Lindquist, a true pioneer of Rhône-style wines in Santa Ynez Valley. His work helped put California Rhône varietals on the global map.

This vintage highlights Marsanne & Roussanne, two classic medium-bodied white grapes from France’s Rhône Valley, known for their balance of richness and elegance.

🍐 Expect layers of buttered pear, dried apple, and brioche, with brighter notes of lemon peel and Asian pear. As it opens, you’ll find stone fruit like apricot and nectarine, hints of baking spice, and a creamy, slightly honeyed texture with a mineral edge.

Available by the glass and bottle, come experience a piece of California wine history in your glass. 🍷🗺️
