To our valued customers,
It is with a heavy heart I write this post today. After much thought and deliberation, we have decided to close the Bistro. There were a number of factors involved in our decision but ultimately it has become increasingly difficult for us to continue to deliver the level of service and quality of food and experience that we feel aligns with our mission and goals as a restaurant.
As I’m sure you can all imagine, operating a restaurant in modern times, particularly in a small community, is a very difficult proposition. We wanted to bring you amazing food and delicious drinks at prices that everyone could afford. In many ways we accomplished that goal while also providing a different atmosphere than had previously been available. Unfortunately, cost increases across the business have made it difficult for us to endure without making compromises that we feel went against our overall mission. Despite all our efforts and considerations, finding a path forward that allows us to meet our goals and mission just wasn’t feasible.
As of now we will be open through the end of July. We will be open our normal hours through then and will most likely be open late Friday and Saturday the 28th & 29th. We intend to run brunch on the 30th and if anything changes with that we will post up in advance to let you know.
We sincerely hope to see everyone come and support us through this time. We’d love to see your friendly and familiar faces to join us in toasting our special little restaurant off into the sunset. It is bittersweet time for all here but please know that we will all cherish the experiences we’d have with all of you.
On behalf of all of us here, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you that has dined or drank with us. Your patronage and support has been an absolute blessing. Without all of you this wouldn’t have been possible. It has been our pleasure serving you over the past 2 1/2 years. It has certainly been quite an experience and we have enjoyed bringing some truly great food and drink options to Lone Rock and the river valley at large.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank our staff, past and present. We wholeheartedly appreciate all their hard work and dedication to the cause and we could not have done it without them.
I know many will ask what’s next for all of us, and we honestly don’t have a clear plan forward at this moment other than to say we’ll need a little time to reflect and consider our options. We are entertaining some different options for the space but no firm plans as of yet. We’ll continue to have the Bistro page open on Facebook and will keep you all updated on any ongoing and future plans there as we are able.
