It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our mom, Mary Fallon.
Many of you know her as the incredible force behind the Loma Tavern. She first opened that bar in 1972. Then in her 70's she returned to bring the Loma Tavern back to life.
She was known for her warmth and kindness. We heard it often, "Your mom is the sweetest woman in the world".
She always had a smile, a greeting, and a sincere interest in others.
Her presence was calming and reassuring
She had an eternal sense of fun and enjoyment of life. And she thrilled in witnessing other people having a good time, or a great adventure.
She loved music, (I mean she really loved music) dancing (her favorite partner was Floyd), Harley Davidson’s and all things cool.
Her last adventure with the Loma Tavern brought back something special, a meeting place, a place where live music was played and people danced. A place of home made food, a good times.
She was a "mom" to many, a strong shoulder to those in need, a witness for God, and a true good heart.
She loved Mexican food, bougainvillea flowers, the ocean, and her grandchildren. She was an amazing artist, gifting her family with beautiful portraits.
She was our rock, our touchstone, our favorite person.
She is survived by her five children, Jodie Fallon, Chuck Fallon, Terre Fallon Lindseth, Rachael Fallon Salinas, and Robin Fallon. Her son-in-law Odd-Arne Lindseth. Her grandchildren, Ashley Schmidt, Olivia Salinas, Bailey Fallon, Lauren Salinas, Madeline Fallon, Sean Salinas, Noah Salinas, and Aaron Newmyer. And her Great-grandchildren, Alex, Candice, Sophia, and Kensington Schmidt, and River Salinas.
We know that many of you consider her a part or your family since her capacity for love and inclusion was endless.
Due to the Pandemic we are postponing her celebration of life. But it will happen, it will happen in Loma, and we look forward to celebrating our incredible mother with all who knew her and loved her.
