👻👻👻

On foggy nights along Archer Avenue, some drivers swear they have seen a young woman in white standing by the side of the road. 👻

She is known as Resurrection Mary, and her story is one of Chicagoland's most famous ghost legends. As the tale goes, she is a girl in a white dress who spent her last night dancing, often linked to the old Oh Henry Ballroom, later the Willowbrook, before meeting a tragic end on her way home.

Since at least the 1930s, people have told of picking up a quiet, pale hitchhiker near the dance hall or along Archer Avenue in Justice. She asks to be driven down the road, and as the car passes Resurrection Cemetery, she simply vanishes. Whether you believe it or not, the legend has been passed down for generations. 🌫️
