Night was falling on her soul
But there was no one left to tell
A twilight child all her life
She was falling down a well
And she knew no one would catch her
And she knew that she was lost
And she couldn't find much will to care
If the price was worth the cost
Some things you can't escape from
And sometimes you're better off
Falling through the darkness
With no clue how you'll stop
Than clinging to a crumbling ledge
That refused to hold you up.
