A Thank you from the “Original Slingers”
To our family,
You have worked tirelessly to make our family business a success by any measure. Do not let these trying times affect your goodness, your resiliency, or your spirt! You have built something special to so many people by just “Doing the right things”. You created an environment that was all inclusive. A place where all people were treated with the respect they deserved and could come and have fun knowing all the while they were safe. Through the good times, and the bumps in the road, you solved the problems, learned the lessons, and continued to trudge forward. We are very proud of you! Hold your head high and understand you did not let us down one bit.
To our staff,
My goodness you talk about being blessed! Doug, Doreen and myself just feel so grateful to have you all working for us. You have become our extended family. Trusted, loyal, and hardworking folks who always had our interests in mind. We can’t thank you enough for creating a safe, healthy and fun place to be. Most of you are aware of the situation we are currently going through. As always we will be honest and true to our character. When the Covid hit and we decided to close down it put a strain on our rainy day fund. Being shut down by our governor for over 3 months affected our cash flow in ways we could never imagine. No one has ever seen or had to experience these types of guidelines before so it was impossible to anticipate. The PPP loan was in process and arrived a little too late to save the day. The process was started and we could not find a solution. We really can’t say too much due to the court proceedings before us but I want you all to know we look forward to defending our name and honor. You all were an extension of the family and represented us well. Thank you! We so look forward to working with you again.

Thank you all! We are really glad you joined us on this leg of our journey. We really developed a wonderful base of regulars. None of this could have happened without you all. Folks of all shapes, sizes and colors joined us in making Slingers a fun place to be. You all came together to have fun and enjoy an atmosphere that became electric. A place where you all respected each other and enjoyed the company of people you may never have met. The memories that were created may fade over time but they will last forever. Some of you met at our bar and were married. Some of you made friends that will last a lifetime. Whatever your memory will be we we’re happy to be a part of that. We could not have done any of this without you. Thank you for your support. I would ask one last thing of you all. Please keep an eye open on the world wide web. While this door has closed we found a window that was cracked open. We going to make it back! If you know our family were fighters! We aren’t out of the game just yet! We are biding out time and are going to make a move as soon as the Covid and court dust settles. I even have a new name picked out “Schmidt’s and Giggles”. I am sure Tack and I will wrestle over that for a while. In the meantime, stay safe. We look forward to serving you again soon.
