It's been a different kind of garden year but one still full of abundance. The different has also stretched my creative skills and that is a blessing too.
This morning's ground cherry harvest turned into 7 half pints of ground cherry salsa for winter eating.
7 pints of dill pickles. This makes 21 pints of homegrown and homemade pickles for the year.
A sunberry pie. A wasp got me right on the knuckle when I was harvesting those berries today and goodness it's been a while since a bug got me and ouch.
I always get a lot of questions about sunberries. I bought the seed from Seed Savers : https://www.seedsavers.org/sunberry-organic
I already have sunberry jam and mixed berry pie filling canned up in the pantry.
The pantry is filling up slowly, surely.
