Some of ya’ll may know, but to the larger public that may not—I’ve accepted a job in restaurant management in the mile high city of Denver, CO. I’ll be leaving next week.

While I had every intention of bringing Esters back at some point, this altitude adjustment basically shuts the door on that, at least here in the Natural State. That aspect doesn’t make me terribly happy, but at the same time it’s necessary to chase the opportunities that present themselves.

I’ve said it a million times but I still mean the hell out of it—Thank you. To all of you. With your help and support we built something really cool.

Ok, so I recognize that I’ve blown up your feeds over the last couple weeks, but….

I just gotta say how badass these people are. I’m so lucky to have had them around and so thankful of all of their efforts. They stuck with me to the very end and that means so much.

And one more thanks to all of you for one helluva weekend. It was the epitome of going out with a bang! Social media posts might go a little quiet but know that they aren’t going away forever, I’ll be back in some form at some point.

This is it, folks!! It’s been a helluva couple weeks and we’ve certainly felt the love. It means a lot to have so much support and fully realize the impact that this place has had on the community. A thousand thank you’s just won’t cut it!

We’ll be getting Full Donkey with the Swamp Donkey Ben Brenner himself plus 3 of his cohorts, starting at 1:30! Hogs game on all the TVs!

We will be running out of things today, starting the day with no Deja, and very limited brunch items.

The streets are fully blocked and traffic will be a nightmare in the area, keep that in mind if you want to call in an order. Also, no reservations, and no orders placed early to be picked up later in the day.

Dang. The last brunch really has a way of making reality set in. We fully expect to be busy, so we’ve made some adjustments for efficiency to help out with that. We also hit a product outage (Just Egg Folds) at the worst time, so none of our normal breakfast sandwiches will be available.

Also no chili. Plant-based ranch instead of dill. Beyond Burger in place of our normal house veggie patty. Fries will likely turn to tots. No Bite Squad. Hell, it wouldn’t surprise me if we just take the phone off the hook at some point and I doubt we see four o’clock for a closing time. It’s a crazy, unprecedented world we’re in right now and we’re doing our best to get as much food out to as many folks as we can.

Oh yeah, we do have cinnamon rolls. And lots of love for all ya’ll. Appreciative of the insanity!

Wow. The love you’ve shown us over the last couple of days is nothing short of amazing.

We’re doing our best to keep things prepped up and stocked for you, but the downside of having a primarily scratch-made kitchen is that some of our recipes can’t be thrown together in a hurry. When we run out we might just be out for the day.

As is the case with today. We’re out of both the meat and plant-based roast beef sandwich, and we’ll def run out of dill sauce and veggie burgers. And maybe fries.

It’s not ideal but when that happens we’ll switch to a store-bought vegan ranch, and Beyond Burgers, and good ole tater tots. We’ll still have our other sides available as well, the tots will just augment them a bit.

Apologies if it’s not exactly what you were seeking, but know we’re doing our absolute best to keep up with demand. We appreciate you guys so much. Truly…

To say yesterday was an emotional roller coaster doesn’t begin to cover it. I couldn’t be more humbled and blown away by the response, though. Ending something of this nature can definitely feel like failure, but it’s very obvious that we had a helluva impact in the community, and that means absolutely everything.

As you can maybe imagine, I had a little trouble putting focus on what needed to be done in order to open the doors, so we’ll be closed while we prepare for what certainly seems like a busy week.

Apologies!! And thank you so much for the support and kind words. We’ll see you soon!
