Batter up!

Fridays at the Capital Hotel are for fish ‘n’ chips. Our version of the classic starts with a fresh haddock filet dipped in tempura batter & fried to perfection: light & crisp on the outside, tender & flaky on the inside. Served alongside our crispy fries, house-made tartar sauce, malt vinegar & lemon, this dish is a perfect start to your weekend.

Last summer, two of our own were lucky enough to spend a day with Pete Stolpman of Stolpman Vineyards in central California. Under a century-old oak tree on the limestone hills of Ballard Canyon, we drank wine, talked story, met vineyard manager Ruben Solorzano, & learned all about their vineyard techniques & commitment to conscientious farming, sustainable employment, & minimally manipulated wine. We knew right then & there we had to bring a taste of Stolpman home to our friends here in Little Rock, AR.

From Santa Barbara, CA to Little Rock, AR (& just in time for Valentine’s Day!), we present you these three fantastic wines, available by-the-glass (or bottle!) at Capital Bar & Grill and One Eleven at the Capital.
