With dry and breezy conditions expected on Thursday, critical fire concerns are expected for parts of the area. With this in mind, a Red Flag Warning will be in effect for areas east of Highway-281 on Thursday.

Here’s a closer look at the hourly wind gusts and lowest relative humidity forecast for this afternoon and evening. Fire weather concerns will gradually increase from the mid-morning onwards with the peak conditions expected from early afternoon to early evening. With dry fuels and gusty winds, any developing fires would spread out of control quickly so make sure to report any fires immediately.
