Little Rock asked. We listened.

We spotted a thread in the Little Rock Power Women group looking for somewhere to watch Big Brother together and, well...we DO happen to have a Barrel House and a very large screen, and tend to host fun watch parties on occasion.

So…we’re doing it!

📺 BIG BROTHER WATCH PARTY
📅 TONIGHT | Sunday, Sept. 6
🚪 Doors open at 6 PM
🍿 Free popcorn
🍸 Drink + shot specials

And there’s an extra reason for Little Rock to tune in this season: Houseguest Barrett is one of our own! 📍LITTLE ROCK!

So come grab a drink, find your people, and watch with us tonight.

AND HERE’S THE DEAL: If y’all show up for this one, we’ll do it AGAIN Thursday night. And we may just have a special guest joining us Thursday... Barrett’s sister. 🤭

So if you’ve been looking for your Big Brother people, consider this the group chat, but with cocktails.

September is Bourbon Heritage Month and we are ready to celebrate all the things that make this unique American spirit 🥃

For the last 16 years, we’ve been making bourbon right here in Little Rock, Arkansas, from Arkansas-grown grains. We’ve filled a whole lot of barrels, learned a whole lot along the way, and met a lot of amazing bourbon loving people.

To celebrate America’s native spirit, all month long we’re going a little deeper.

We’re taking you behind the scenes to show you how barrels are selected for a release, what it actually takes for a bourbon to be called Bottled in Bond, and we’re putting a few of the biggest bourbon myths to rest.

Does bourbon have to come from Kentucky?
Does it have to age for a minimum of five years?
Can you put bourbon in any kind of barrel?

We will be covering this and so much more.

Because Bourbon Heritage Month isn’t just an excuse to pour a glass. It’s also a good excuse to learn a little more about what Bourbon actually is.

Welcome to Bourbon Heritage Month at Rock Town y’all 🥃

Want to drill into bourbon barrels with the guy in this video? 👀🥃

For Bourbon Heritage Month, our Distiller Trent Brandon is leading two special Distiller-Led Tours on September 2 & 23, and part of the experience includes Trent personally selecting and drilling into two bourbon barrels for the group to taste straight from the barrel.

Will they do THIS when he drills into them? They just might!!

But there is actually some science behind the bourbon explosion you just witnessed.

Bourbon barrels aren’t just sitting quietly in the Barrel House while they age.

As our Arkansas summers heat things up, the liquid and air inside the barrel warm and expand, while whiskey works its way deeper into the oak. When temperatures fall, everything contracts and whiskey moves back out of the wood, carrying flavor, color and character with it.

Those temperature changes can also affect the pressure inside a sealed barrel.

So after a VERY hot Arkansas summer, could heat have played a part in why this particular barrel was so eager to send bourbon flying across the Barrel House?

Possibly😂 There can be other factors involved, so we can’t blame the Arkansas heat alone.

Trent has drilled into plenty of barrels over the years, and even his reaction was:
“I’ve never seen one do that.”

Want to join Trent in the Barrel House and see what the next barrels have waiting inside?

September is just around the corner and we are VERY ready for Bourbon Heritage Month!

So ready, in fact, that we didn’t create just ONE special bourbon experience for September, we created THREE.

This September, we’re taking bourbon beyond the glass with three limited experiences:

BOURBON AFTER HOURS → An immersive, after-hours grain-to-glass tour with tastings throughout the distillery.

FROM THE BARREL: DISTILLER-LED TOUR → Tour with our Distiller, Trent, before tasting two bourbons straight from barrels he selects and drills that night.

OLD FASHIONED COCKTAIL CLASS & SINGLE BARREL TASTING → Make your own Old Fashioned, taste Single Barrel Bourbons, learn what makes every barrel unique + enjoy an individual charcuterie plate.

PLUS, book any of the three and you’ll have the option to add our Hand Fill Experience for 15% off. Yep, fill your own bottle right from the barrel, label it AND wax dip it.

These aren’t our everyday tours and classes. They’re special experiences we’re offering on select dates only for Bourbon Heritage Month, and space is very limited.

👇 Comment “BHM” and we’ll send you the link to explore all three + book yours.
