Whiskey Wednesday is here!

This week's featured bottle is from a Chicago craft distillery- FEW Spirits Straight Bourbon. Every FEW bottle won an award in the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, including a Silver for today's featured bottle.

This is a unique offering, no doubt getting some terroir from its Evanston, Illinois roots. The nose is subtle with notes of vanilla, caramel & hay. The flavor shows this bottles' age (less than 4 years), but certainly not in a bad way. Wood up front gives way to caramel, cloves & some ethanol heat. The finish lingers for a little bit, with some white pepper at the end.

2025's The Keepers Release-hints of seasoned oak and brulee sugar, offering a long and enveloping mouthfeel with notes of dried fruit and roasted sweetness.

2026's The Stewards Release- silky, rich mouthfeel with sweet oak, honey, and stewed berries, with a warm cinnamon and baking spice finish.
