Hey - I need you for a moment:

I scheduled a bartender tonight for an event I’m attending so that I could NOT work for a change of scene. This is where I’ve decided to get wild 😳

This employee has worked more shifts for 86 Bar Staffing than anyone - except ‼️MAYBE me….

She works 3 jobs starting at 4:30am and not ending until 10pm most days to help her college aged kiddo, who is in nursing school, afford her lifesaving daily medication.

Every time she volunteers for a shift she says “it doesn’t matter what I make, it’s more than I had before”. She is ALWAYS so thankful for the tips she receives.

💡 Okay so….
How about - I give her the night off, and WE give her the tips from the shift she would have made if she had worked.

I know the party-goers will tip, so don’t feel obligated!
But just in case… don’t feel silly for $1 and a wish of blessings for her. Anything you do, makes a difference.

✨ Put “PJ” in the memo and I’ll know it’s for her!

Party starts now and ends… whenever 🤷🏻‍♀️

(I’m hiding this from her so she will have a surprise in the morning!)

I haven’t built a million-dollar company. I don’t have hundreds of employees. I don’t have a wall full of accolades or a perfectly curated five-year plan.

And yet, I’ve been nominated for the 2026 Inspire Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship.

Honestly? It feels a little silly to call myself an entrepreneur. I’ve mostly been winging it for a while 😅

But maybe that’s the point.

I’m just a girl who has spent the last several years saying, “I wonder if we could…” and then figuring out how to make it happen.
I care deeply about Lincoln. I care about small businesses. I care about connecting people to people, people to resources, and ideas to opportunities. I care about creating things that didn’t exist before—not because I always know exactly what I’m doing, but because I’m willing to try, learn, adapt, and keep going.

And more than anything, I want my kiddos to see that they can pursue big goals. That they can overcome obstacles. That they don’t have to wait until they feel completely ready, perfectly qualified, or 100% confident to take the next step.

Sometimes you just start.
Sometimes you figure it out as you go.
Sometimes you fail fabulously on the way.
And sometimes, somehow, people notice.

I am incredibly honored to be considered and nominated for this award - I am rich in friendship and community.

Whether I win or not, being recognized alongside so many incredible women in our community is something I don’t take lightly.

I guess I’ll just keep winging it and see where this journey takes me 🖤
