From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who came out to honor SGT Tyler Shepard with us. His service was a beautiful way to honor him.

The love in the room was undeniable. Every hug, every story, every moment of remembrance meant more than words can truly express. It was a beautiful reflection of the kind of person Tyler was and the lives he touched so deeply.

As Eric prayed he stated: “Shepard’s now in the hands of Jesus and although he can be a handful (😉) the hands of The Lord are the best hands to be in.” Thank you for showing up and for helping carry his memory forward. ❤️

Tomorrow, we gather to honor and remember USMC SGT Tyler Shepard. A 24-year-old Marine whose life was taken far too soon. Tyler was also a South Johnston High School Cadet under the command of our own, Lt. Col. Eric T. Brewington. Tyler was special to Eric, Mary Jane and their family. Tyler served with courage, was driven, dedicated, lived with purpose, and left an impact that won’t be forgotten.

From 5–7 PM at Afterburner Cigar Lounge, we invite friends, family, and community to come together, and pay tribute to a life that meant so much to so many. Let’s gather and remember him the way he deserves, with respect, love, and honor.

We’re coming together to support Best Buddies, an organization that’s all about creating real friendships, inclusion, and opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This isn’t just another fundraiser for us, it’s personal. It’s about showing up, loving big, and making sure EVERYONE feels seen, valued, and included.

Our Afterburner family lost someone who meant a lot to us, a devoted customer and friend.

Gee wasn’t just someone who came through the doors, he became part of the Afterburner family. Gee and Eric shared a special bond through the love of motorcycles and being veterans. A passion that only riders truly understand.

That’s the thing about the Afterburner community, it’s more than just a place. It’s the people, the friendships, and the connections built over the things we love. Gee was part of that, and his presence will truly be missed.

We’re keeping his family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved him in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Until we ride together again. 🏍️

Gee Williams of Fayetteville died in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 295 on March 6, 2026, leaving family, friends, and the community mourning.
