Chevy Chase has had a much needed water and sewer project going on for way too long, that probably should have been completed years ago. It had become comical until we heard a few weeks ago they discovered raw sewage had been leaking under Fontaine Rd. for over 9 months. Well, now we’re angry. People in wheelchairs and parents pushing strollers are now really struggling to navigate the sidewalks of the 800 block of Euclid Ave. Kentucky American Water and Mayor Linda Gorton, Fontaine Rd. is laughable, but wheelchairs getting stuck on a public sidewalk in Lexington, KY is no laughing matter! Do better.

Let's make Dolly proud and raise some money for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library!

Chevy Chase Inn Trivia with Local Trivia Action starts at 7:30.

15% of sales will be donated to get books into the hands of kids from zero to five years old to help foster a love of reading.

***You can double dip by grabbing dinner at Bourbon n' Toulouse where 15% of your purchase will also be donated.

Earlier this week we found out that Fayette County Public Schools had an online fundraiser set up to raise money to buy school supplies for families that need a little extra help. Their goal was to raise $2,000 and with four days remaining they had only raised $286. A couple of our bartenders decided that was totally unacceptable. If Fayette County Public Schools couldn’t get it done, then we would have to do it for them, so we grabbed some cardboard and got to work!

A friend told me that there was no way a spelling bee with a $10 entry fee could raise any more than a few hundred dollars. What he didn’t know is that one of our absolute favorite things to do at Chevy Chase Inn is “drink’n for the kids” and yesterday we did a lot of drink’n! Y’all raised $1,756.75, pushing FCPS over their $2,000 goal!

Thank you to all the spellers, spectators and hecklers. Thank you to our amazing bartenders with huge hearts. Most importantly, thank you to our Chevy Chase Inn Family that always shows up with an open wallet anytime we come up with a crazy idea to raise money for a worthy cause.

It’s time for the First Annual Chevy Chase Inn Spelling Bee!

We’re raising money to for Fayette County Public School’s “Stuff the Bus” to provide school supplies for kids in need!

Saturday, August 8th
Sign ups: 4 - 5 PM
Spelling Bee: 5 - 7 PM

Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place!

We’ve raised the price $1 since Kevin first had this magical Burger Shot 7 years ago, but the sentiment stays the same. This is one of the wildest, mind bending shots we’ve ever had!

Come to Chevy Chase Inn for an “appetizer” before you have one of the many incredible burgers available during Lexington Burger Week.

Please remember that as much fun as you’re having, the staff at all these amazing restaurants are working what will probably be their toughest week of the year. With that being said…

• Don’t be an as***le.

• Tip as if you bought a $15 burger, not one that cost 1/2 of what it normally would.

• If you have a good experience, shout it from the rooftop on social media!

• If you have a subpar experience, get your anger out in a group text with your best friends. Don’t slam a restaurant trying their best in a tough situation. We don’t come stand over your cubicle and ask where your TPS report is!
